Hi, I'm Sophie and I'm an illustrator from Karlsruhe. As a child, drawing was a way to escape from reality. Later, I wrote a lot and turned my stories into comics. During my studies, I taught people to draw for the first time and led workshops.
I was particularly inspired by the manga artists Hirohiko Araki, Junji Ito and Yana Toboso. Another illustrator who has inspired me for a long time is Aubrey Beardsley. I work mostly with ink, fineliner and black watercolors. My motifs are first created in my thoughts and emotions. Sometimes they are purely decorative, but sometimes they also hide a deeper meaning.
